Hôn nhân khác Đạo: Đức tin càng vững mạnh hay ngày càng chết yểu?

Tại Việt Nam có khoảng 7% dân số theo Đạo Công Giáo, việc đó cũng đồng nghĩa là sẽ có rất nhiều người lấy vợ/chồng ngoại Đạo. Điều đó là một thử thách rất lớn đối với Giáo Hội, cũng như những cặp vợ chồng này. Bởi, niềm tin khác nhau dẫn đến những mối tương quan, những quan điểm trái chiều, những phương cách giáo dục con cái không đồng nhất…dẫn đến những hệ lụy rất lớn trong đời sống hôn nhân gia đình.

Mỗ Xá chúng ta cũng vậy. Có rất nhiều các cặp đôi không cùng tôn giáo đến với nhau. Có những người đã lìa xa Chúa, nhưng cũng có những nhân chứng sống cho Đức tin rất mãnh liệt:

  • Lấy chồng ngoại Đạo nhưng bà đã thuyết phục được chồng tôn trọng niềm tin của mình, và đã cho con cái rửa tội để đi theo Chúa, dù chồng không theo. Đến nay cũng được gần 80 tuổi rồi, vẫn lọ mọ chống gậy đi thờ, đi lễ dù trời tối để làm gương sáng cho con cháu. Đức tin của bà thật đáng khâm phục biết bao. Những nỗ lực của bà thật đáng tự hào cho người Công Giáo chúng ta. Liệu chúng ta đến tuổi đó có làm được như vậy?
  • Có những chị lấy chồng ngoại Đạo và đã ‘’lôi kéo’’ được chồng con cùng theo Đạo. Và giờ đây người chồng cũng rất sốt sáng theo Chúa.
  • Có những anh lấy vợ ngoại Đạo và giờ đây người vợ còn sốt sáng hơn cả chồng, chăm lo đời sống đức tin cho con cái, bảo ban thúc giục con cái đi học giáo lý, đi thờ đi lễ chăm chỉ.
  • Có những chị lấy chồng ngoại Đạo vẫn cố gắng vớt vát để cứu phần rỗi linh hồn mình, được ít nào hay ít đó.

Bên cạnh những trường hợp may mắn, thì cũng có rất rất nhiều những mảnh đời không được ưu ái, không được cảm thông, thấu hiểu, sẻ chia. Đặc biệt là những người con gái phải lìa bỏ bố mẹ, xa rời cộng đoàn đức tin để tiếp nhận một môi trường, một lối sống mới. Thực tế Mỗ Xá chúng ta là một minh chứng cụ thể và gần gũi nhất.

  • Có những chị lấy chồng ngoại Đạo đi nhà thờ, đi lễ lại bị chồng, gia đình chồng dòm ngó, để ý, tỏ thái độ….
  • Có những chị lấy chồng ngoại Đạo mong muốn con được rửa tội, theo Chúa, theo Đạo nhưng lại không được sự đồng ý của chồng, của gia đình chồng.
  • Có những chị lấy chồng ngoại Đạo dù nhà cách nhà thờ có mấy bước chân, nhưng ‘’lấy chồng là phải theo chồng, Chúa thông cảm cho con nhé’’.
  • Có những anh lấy vợ ngoại Đạo và giờ mình cũng dần thành ‘’ngoại Đạo’’ luôn.

Chọn bạn đời khác niềm tin tôn giáo là một thách đố rất lớn đối với người Công Giáo. Đòi hỏi người Công Giáo chúng ta càng phải trở thành nhân chứng sống Đức tin cho Chúa mạnh mẽ hơn trong môi trường nhỏ bé là gia đình mình, và xa hơn là môi trường cộng đồng xung quanh – những người mà không cùng niềm tin tôn giáo. Đây là một thách đố cực lớn đối với lòng trung thành theo Chúa của người Kitô hữu, và không phải ai cũng làm được. Bởi, bất cứ người Kitô hữu nào cũng được mời gọi sống cộng đoàn. Đời sống cộng đoàn có giá trị và ý nghĩa lớn lao trong việc hiệp thông với nhau và kết hiệp mật thiết trực tiếp với Chúa mà Đức Giêsu đã nhiều lần mời gọi.

Chúng ta hãy tự đặt câu hỏi: Liệu rằng nếu xa rời cộng đoàn chúng ta có thể giữ vững niềm tin và tiếp tục sống kết hiệp với nhau và với Chúa không? Điều này thật sự rất khó. Bởi chúng ta sẽ bị cuốn theo những vòng xoáy lo toan của cuộc sống thường ngày; bởi hàng ngày phải phải sống chung với những người không cùng niềm tin nên sẽ tạo thành thói quen. Một lần bỏ lễ Chúa nhật thấy day dứt lương tâm lắm, ăn ăn lắm, muốn đi xưng tội ngay. Lần thứ 2 bỏ lễ thì thấy lo lắng không yên, tội lỗi lắm, lần thứ 3…. đến lần thứ 10 thì cảm giác lại bình thường, lại thành thói quen và chẳng thấy làm sao nữa. Và chúng ta thì có vô vàn lý do để biện minh cho những tội lỗi của mình. Vậy nên, Chúa Giê-su và Giáo hội luôn mời gọi người Kitô hữu chúng ta sống cộng đoàn hiệp nhất để cùng nâng đỡ nhau, cùng nhau sống đức tin.

Chúa Giê-su đã nói “Nếu anh em có lòng tin lớn bằng hạt cải thôi, sẽ chẳng có gì mà anh em không làm được.” (x. Mt 17,20). Đức tin của chúng ta yếu đuối, non nớt lắm, dễ bị lung lay bới những yếu tố bên ngoài, dễ bị hạ gục bởi những vật chất lo toan sự đời. Nếu không chạy đến với Chúa và kết hợp với Chúa thường xuyên thì chúng ta sẽ rời bỏ Chúa lúc nào không hay. Và cho đến khi nhìn lại cũng không biết mình đã xa Chúa bao nhiêu vạn dặm rồi.

Vậy nên thật là thiệt thòi cho những người đã kết hôn ngoại Đạo. Họ không được tự do đến với Chúa. Họ không được đến với Chúa thường xuyên. Họ không được sống mật thiết hàng ngày với cộng đoàn đức tin giống mình. Họ buộc phải sống với những đòi hỏi cao hơn nếu muốn sống đức tin của mình giữa môi trường ngoại giáo. Cuộc sống có muôn vàn sự khó mà sẽ ngăn cản bước chân họ đến với Chúa. Chúng ta – những người may mắn hơn họ vì có thể tự do đến với Chúa mà không bị ngắn cấm – xin hãy cầu nguyện cho họ thay vì lên án, mỉa mai và chế giễu. Bởi họ cũng đã rất trăn trở và dằn vặt lương tâm rất nhiều trước khi đi đến quyết định. Hãy cầu nguyện cho họ tiếp tục giữ đức tin để đi theo Chúa. Cầu nguyện cho họ vượt qua những thử thách mà họ đã tự mình chọn lựa. Cầu nguyện cho họ để dù ở đâu người ta cũng sẽ nhìn được hình ảnh của Chúa trong họ. Cầu nguyện cho họ đừng tự làm bản thân đau khổ mà hãy mạnh mẽ vững tin. Cầu nguyện cho họ có thể loan báo Tin Mừng của Chúa trong đời sống của mình. Cầu nguyện cho họ để niềm tin tôn giáo của họ không trở nên cô đơn, lạc lõng ngay trong chính ngôi nhà của mình.  Cầu nguyện cho họ để họ tìm được sự đồng cảm, chia sẻ trong đời sống đạo tại gia đình, và niềm hạnh phúc khi đến cộng đoàn giáo xứ.

Xin Chúa luôn ban ơn trợ giúp và nâng đỡ chúng con trong bậc sống của mình. Amen!
