   Cuộc đời thật công bằng. Mình làm mình hưởng. Hạnh phúc hay khổ đau cũng tùy vào việc mình làm hôm qua và hôm nay mình nhận lại. Tuy nhiên, khi nhìn vào dòng đời ta thấy sao có vẻ quá bất công! Tại sao những kẻ gian xảo, bất lương, chối bỏ Chúa lại là những kẻ thịnh vượng hơn cả, còn người hiền thì cứ liên tiếp gặp đủ tai này vạ kia? Tại sao những kẻ lừa dối xảo ngôn thì được ca tụng như vĩ nhân, còn kẻ ăn nói chân thành lại bị kết án xem thường?

     Nhưng thực ra cuộc đời không bất công  đâu, ai gieo gì sẽ gặt nấy. Hoạ may cũng do chính mình làm nên.

     Có chuyện kể rằng:

     Vợ chồng An có một cửa hàng bán thực phẩm. Một hôm, An đi chơi về hỏi vợ:

          – Này em, khúc giò thiu đâu rồi?

          – Nhà đối diện mua rồi.

          – Thế cân xúc xích bị chuột gặm?

          – Nhà ấy cũng mua rồi.

          – Còn hộp bơ cũ năm ngoài đã quá hạn?

          – Nhà ấy cũng vét nốt!

     An lấy hai tay ôm đầu:

          – Thôi rồi! Anh vừa được nhà ấy mời ăn cơm!

     Thực ra cuộc đời rất công bằng. Mỗi người đều có niềm vui và nỗi buồn khác nhau. Có điểm mạnh và điểm yếu khác nhau. Có người nhiều tiền nhưng lại thiếu sức khoẻ. Có người sự nghiệp, thành tích không cao nhưng sức khoẻ lại tốt. Hạnh phúc hay đau khổ cũng tùy vào cách nhìn của mỗi người. Một người nghèo sẽ tìm được niềm vui chỉ với vài trăm ngàn, nhưng khi có nhiều rồi, anh ta sẽ phải tiêu gấp nhiều lần mới thấy hạnh phúc thật sự.Thực ra nếu chúng ta có cả thế giới này thì chúng ta cũng vẫn chỉ ăn ngày 3 bữa, ngủ trên một chiếc giường mà thôi.

     Hôm nay Chúa Giê-su bảo cuộc đời con người có hạnh phúc đời này và đời sau hay không cũng tùy chúng ta có làm hết trách nhiệm của mình không? Chúa nhắc chúng ta phải làm việc hết trách nhiệm như một quản gia trung tín. Dẫu phải hy sinh từ bỏ vẫn sẵn sàng như Abraham mau mắn vâng nghe lời Chúa dậy, sẵn sàng từ bỏ quê hương, từ bỏ mọi sự, đi theo con đường Chúa chỉ, không phải tìm trú ẩn an toàn ở dưới đất, mà tìm quê hương trên trời. Phải luôn ở tư thế làm việc như tôi tớ, như osin, dù có phải thắp đèn thức khuya suốt đêm chờ chủ về, suốt đời chờ Chúa đến, chúng ta vẫn phải trung thành chu toàn mọi việc của Chúa trao phó. Nếu sơ sót, lơ là, chểnh mảng, biếng nhác, bất cứ lúc nào, chủ về, Chúa đến, thì khốn cho đầy tớ đó. Thật phúc cho đầy tớ đang tỉnh thức lúc chủ về, lúc Chúa đến!

     Nếu những ai trung tín trong trách nhiệm như vậy thì chắc chắn họ sẽ có một cuộc sống dư giả, thịnh vượng và hạnh phúc. Nhất là còn được Chúa Cha ân thưởng như lời Chúa Giê-su nói: “Cha của anh em đã vui lòng ban Nước Trời cho anh em”.

     Cuộc đời ai cũng mong hạnh phúc thì hãy sống có trách nhiệm khi chu toàn bổn phận của mình với Chúa và tha nhân. Với Chúa luôn dành thời giờ tôn thờ Chúa qua việc đọc kinh thánh, dâng lễ, với tha nhân chính là biết sống phục vụ với đầy đủ tinh thần trách nhiệm và đầy yêu thương. Hãy sống tích đức để mua lấy Nước Trời mai sau.  Nhưng đáng tiếc cho nhân loại hôm nay vẫn còn đó những người sống thiếu tỉnh thức bằng đời sống lười biếng và thiếu trách nhiệm trong bổn phận của mình, vẫn còn đó những người sống ngụp lặn trong đam mê tội lỗi, vẫn còn đó những người sống tham lam bất chính hơn là tích đức cho đời sau. Họ sẽ bị người thân xa lánh và họ sẽ mất cơ hội tham dự tiệc trường sinh mà chính Thiên Chúa sẽ thiết đãi họ.

     Ước gì mỗi người chúng ta hãy sống giây phút hiện tại như là giây phút cuối cùng của đời mình để chúng ta sống có trách nhiệm hơn, sống tỉnh thức hơn. Ước gì mỗi người chúng ta cùng được chủ vui mừng đón tiếp trong bữa tiệc vĩnh cửu nơi quê hương trên trời. Amen.
